We proudly use the Heather Beck method of training and focus on teaching your dog to be calm, respectful, and focused on you.
Our program includes 4 separate areas of focus - and each class is private.
On Day 1 we spend 2 hours of focused time with your dog. On Day 2, we repeat the process and the 2 hours of training and focused private time with your dog - taking it to the next level.
Then on Day 3, our trainer will spend one hour with you and your dog together - hands-on - and giving you your dog's evaluation and a video, and showing you how to do exactly what we did, so you can continue the training at home in the days and weeks to come.
What will my dog learn?
Leash Manners and Bonding Private Class
Don't get dragged around by your dog! In this beginning session, your dog will start the journey of proper leash manners with our techniques. We help create a bond with your dog, and help him learn not to drag you around. The goal at the end is to have a pleasant dog who walks calmly beside you on the lead, and watches you for guidance.
The Zen Zone Private Class
Using your Sidekick leash and "distance pressure" your dog will learn your body language and that you control the resource of space. He will learn to remain calm in stressful situations and also helps them adjust to being calm during grooming sessions. Create focused, intentional relaxation through massage and other methods. This session is crucial for bonding with your dog and also creating a mindset of focus so he can learn further obedience.
Setting Boundaries Private Class
This session teaches boundaries with your dog and builds on the Zen Zone training, We utilize corrective techniques for stopping unwanted behaviors like rough play, counter-surfing, and barking at the doorbell. Your dog will thrive on these kinds of rules and expectations.
Crate Training Private Class
The crate is one of the most important tools in your toolbox and crate-training is a critical life-skill for all dogs and puppies. By using the natural den instincts of your dog, the crate teaches your dog to rest and relax. It also creates structure in feeding, house-training, and focus. The crate is a positive tool and your dog will feel like this is it's very own safe place.

Cost of each class includes two 1 hour dog-only lessons with our trainer, and a 30 min to 1 hour owner/dog training class, as well as take home material and tools.
